Grief and Loss

Do you wonder if you’ll ever feel better?

Grief is a complex emotional response that can be characterized by a range of emotions, including sadness, anger, guilt, confusion, and feelings of isolation or emptiness. It may be interfering with your everyday life in the immediate aftermath of a loss, or even years later. If you're struggling to come to terms with a tough loss or a major life change, psychotherapy can be helpful.

Losses you Might be Navigating

  • Death of a loved one

  • Death of a pet

  • Miscarriage

  • Infertility

  • Job loss

  • Divorce / Breakup

  • Medical diagnosis / Chronic Illness

  • Anticipatory loss

  • A loss from years ago that is still painful

Grief isn’t limited to a death, it can also occur when life’s unexpected nature puts us on a path we didn’t anticipate. By processing these events and feelings in therapy you can make sense of what it is you need to mourn, and how you’d like to live. I believe that when we are open to processing what we have lost we can become more able to embrace our lives fully.
